There’s been a very strong look in short hair in 2012 which will continue into 2013. Why? Because it’s such an ingenious haircut that can be brushed and blow dried in different ways to transform your style according to the occasion or your mood (or the lady).
What I’m talking about is almost a modified mohawk- that’s right. The Mohawk inspired cut is sexy, smart and hot. Basically the chop is short, back and long on top. Smart guys are keeping the sides short but not shaven and the top long but not out of control- and coming up with a different individual variation for themselves and their mood.
The great thing about this hairdo is that if you start with it almost shaved at the sides and not too long at the top, it will grow into a new and interesting look over the next few months. Also, you can gel or blow dry the top up, in front, to the side from day to day and vary your look. No wonder it’s the key look at the moment.
Three months growth on the side and three day growth on your face and you could have something like the look above. But remember to keep you ends trimmed and healthy.
Or if the occasion is more professional and you are trying to leave the impression of professional, blow dry it forward.
This is another version with the sides left longer and wispy side-burns. The top is short and textured. You’ll need a great stylist to get this one right and some product to get the texture right at home- though with the right product and cut it’s probably a matter of fixing it with your fingers.
And the very short back and sides, and the semi short top. This is great for the busy guy or if you are about to set off on a long trip- it will grow nicely into the other styles.
This look requires a very long Mohawk top and natural thick hair but it’s super hot. Elvis would have this look if he were young today.
